Provisions of the Company Law provide the obligation to register the E-mail address with the Business Registry Agency (BRA) no later than 1 October 2019. All business entities are obligated to register their E-mail address.

The register managed by the BRA does not charge this service and the procedure for registering the E-mail address is simple. Failing to register and use the registered E-mail address is threatened by financial sanctions in form of a commercial offense, in accordance with the laws.

In line with the tendency of digitalization, there are many reasons why registering an E-mail address is important: it should enable delivery of decisions of state authorities in e-form and provide for a full implementation of qualified e-signature. Further it should ease and speed up communication between companies and state authorities and the communication between companies themselves.
